The most popular Clinic format is a 2-day Essentials of Horsemanship where students learn to translate ground work into riding results.  People often ask what they will be learning and the best answer is "it depends."  The reason "it depends" is due to the variations of the horses and riders that attend.  Classes are generally not levels specific, and all students will be challenged based on their ability.

Kathleen teaches her students how to develop better feel with their horses, and an understanding of their horse's balance.  These concepts carry through and enhance any style of riding.

Clinics are limited to 8 participants, in order for Kathleen to give sufficient personal attention and feedback to each student. 

Other clinic formats include (but are not limited to): cow working, trailer loading, ground skills, trail riding, water play days, round pen skills, confidence building (horse and human), getting to know your new horse, etc.

Booking Policies

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to reserve a rider spot in all types of clinics.  The balance of the clinic fee is due 30 days prior to the clinic start date. In the event a rider needs to cancel, the clinic fees paid to date will be credited towards another class.

If you would like to schedule a private clinic, a deposit of 50% of the total clinic price is required up front when clinic dates are set on the calendar.  In the event the clinic is cancelled within 45 days of clinic start, a $500 booking fee will be charged. The entire deposit becomes non-refundable within 30 days of clinic start date.

Special circumstances will be evaluated on a case by case basis. 

All clinics will be posted on Kathleen's website and advertised locally. We will provide flyers and assist you in any possible way to fill the rider positions.

Clinic Pricing

In addition to Kathleen's teaching fees,  there may be associated arena fees, travel costs and other charges.  These will be noted in advance.

Kathleen's teaching fee for Clinics:

   2 Day $300 per person (min. 6 hours each day)

   3 Day $450 per person (min. 6 hours each day)

   Additional days are available for a reduced rate.
